My make-up today.

Crushed make-up?

If you are clumsy like me, you have managed to drop a couple of eye shadows, blushes or pressed powders and they have shattered into a million pieces.
Well I was very happy to find that I could just buy empty make-up containers to put them in! They have them in different sizes and they come with a sifter so you can just shake out some of the color in the lid and apply with your brush. I love them! They are super affordable around $2-$3 each,
and they ship internationally! Here is where I bought mine!

New skincare products.

Hi Everyone!
I have been out shopping today for a new skincare system. I have been using Nimue skincare products for a while but, they are just too active for my skin. I am one of the lucky ones that does not have any major skin issues. My skin is dry but no acne or other skin problems. The main thing though is that my skin is very sensitive. I have very light, fair skin so it itches and turns red if the products I am using are not for sensitive skin.
So I have now decided to try out Shiseido skin care products! I am super excited!

I will give a full review on them after I have used them for a couple of weeks!

Step one: Extra gentle cleansing foam.
Step two: Hydro-nourishing softener.
Step three: Day moisture protection.

Mmmmm.

Today I thought  I would show you my very favorite perfumes.. These are my beloved light scents.

• Laura by Laura Biagiotti:
  This has been my favorite scent since forever. I think I was around 14 when I got my first bottle. It had me at the first sniff. Laura is a very feminine and fresh perfume with a light  flower scent. This is by far my #1 scent of all time.
  
  

•  Daisy by Marc Jacobs:
  This Perfume is the newbie to my collection. I have been using it for a few months and I love it! This too, is a very fresh feminine scent. It's a light perfume for using daily in my opinion.
  I definitely have a thing for perfumes with a clean scent. I do not like heavy smelling perfumes.
  
  
  
• Envy me by gucci:
  Ahh... Brings back so many memories for me.. This was the perfume I used when I was getting my degree as a hairdresser.. So many fun memories. For me this is the ultimate 'Work' perfume. Not too heavy, just a light, clean and fresh scent. As you know I am a hairdresser, and so at work, not only do I work with several other girls, but clients and hair product with their own perfumes. So it is vital that my perfume scents are light and that it does not 'clash' with the other scents in the salon.
  
  
• Bright Crystal by Versace:
  This is probably the 'heaviest' scent of my favorites. I do not use this at work. I use it more for going out to dinner or shopping. It is wonderful though. Very sexy and glamorous. Hints of sweet fruits and fresh flowers.

Smokey eyes.

Everyone ... Meet Miss Renate.

hehehe she is such a goof, but she is also my model for today.

She wanted smokey eyes. She had already done her face make-up so all we did were the eyes.

I used a couple of different brands to get the look I wanted. I used CS 88 warm palette

and also another favorite brand of mine called Franche. The color I used was black opal.

Franche is an amazing brand of make-up. It is mineral make-up and very healthy for your skin.
The only place I could find it online in Norway was here, but it seems they do not have the entire line. But you can order it from Franche.com and they ship internationally.

Today I went for a matte plum color...
All the colors are from my Coastal scents 88 warm palette.

 

The perfect brow.

I have received a lot of comments on my eyebrows, and so I thought I would make a little post on how to work with different types of eyebrows.


               Emma's eyebrow tips:

•  Tip one:
  Use brow shadows to color your brow, not brow pencils.
  I swear to brow shadows and my favorite one is Glominerals eyebrow collection, but there are many good kits out there. They usually come with brow tools for brushing and applying the color. Usually they have two different colors in each kit to choose from. I think it just gives you a prettier and more natural look. It also comes with stensils if you need to fill out thin brows.  The pencils make very hard sharp lines which I try to avoid. I do like my brows very defined but not 'drawn on'.

• Tip Two:
  Get your eyebrows waxed by a professional beauty consultant. This is very important. If you pluck them with tweezers yourself , it is very easy to take too much or make them asymmetrical. Better to let a professional do it.
  

•  Tip Three:
  My last tip is this amazing website called eyebrows It is the best tool I have seen, to deal with all different kind of brows!

'Buy this, not that!' Is my new weekly post on what, in my opinion ,is a better brand to choose when they have similar products.

Skincare is very important, and removing your make-up every night is a must. Nothing feels better than going to bed with nice, soft, clean skin and a good night cream to hydrate.
I love good skin products, but when it comes to removing my make-up my eyes are super sensitive.
So the solution that works for me is cleansing wipes. I use the cleansing wipes first to remove all make-up on eyes, skin and lips. Then I do my normal skin cleansing routine.
So this weeks  ' Buy this not that!'  is my favorite and least favorite cleansing wipes.

Simple Cleansing wipes for sensitive skin:
I LOVE this product! I use it every day! It takes all my make-up off easily. It does not give my any eye or skin irritation. It just leaves my skin soft and clean.

Loreal ideal balance cleansing wipes:
No, no, no ! It stings my eyes, makes my skin feel like it is burning and the next day I have some red itchy spots on my face!
Now, to be fair, I do have very sensitive skin.. So this product might work for people who do not have super sensitive skin. But for me it's a big NO.
